Information We Collect

For all visitors to our site, we collect aggregated information on pages viewed. For subscribers and affiliates we additionally collect registration information, billing information and information required to sell goods.

For buyers who buy something that is delivered by Comdev we collect information relating to any transactions recorded by us or returned by the payment gateway. We do not record buyer card or bank details.

Legal basis

Data is recorded for contractual reasons. That is Comdev provides a service and in order to do that we must record some data

Use of Data

The data recorded is used to: a) provide checkout capabilities for the seller b) to enable us to contact the seller and c) to fufil our legal and financial obligations. If a seller joins our mailing list at registration the data is used to send them our monthly newsletter.

For buyers who buy something that is delivered by Comdev we collect data so we can provide them with access to their purchase.

Data is not shared or sold, in raw or aggregate form, unless either required by law officials (subject to our Terms and Conditions). We have no relationships with ad server companies. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (loging you into your account), site functionality (the shopping cart, the affiliate scheme and the referral scheme), to analyse our site performance (via Google Analytics) and for advertising management (Comdev adverts you may see around the internet). These cookies record session information on the device you’re using to access our website. You can remove these cookies at any time via your browser preferences but you will have to re-login to the Comdev site if you remove the authentication cookie.

Data Collection and Storage

Comdev collects data and stores it. We also use third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary equipment required to run the service. Specifically: paytoolbox, Google Analytics, PayPal.

Comdev owns the code, database and all rights to the application. The seller retain all rights to their sold products.

Retention and Withdrawal

Comdev retains data as long as an account is active. As data is used for contractual reasons it would not be possible to provide a service without the data.

For buyers who buy something that is delivered by Comdev, they can contact the seller who can use Comdev to delete their data.

Automated decision making

Comdev may use data to stop the signup of accounts suspected to be used for fraud reasons.

Data Collection Notice (for Joomla Component)

By activating and using this Joomla component, you agree that the component will collect certain information about your website for the purposes of license verification and usage statistics.
The following information may be collected and transmitted securely to our server:

  • The URL of the website where the component is installed

  • Component version

  • Joomla version

  • License key status

We collect this data only to verify valid installations, improve our software, and generate aggregate usage statistics.
No personal data beyond what is necessary for these purposes is collected or stored.

Right of appeal

You have a right of appeal. In the first instance please contact Comdev support via our help pages.

Important note: if you are a buyer who has been delivered a product via Comdev you will need to contact the product seller regarding your data rights. Comdev acts as a data processor and it is the seller who must delete your data from Comdev as your purchase contract is with them not us.

Updates

This policy may be periodically updated. Any changes will be notified by email or by a message on the service seen when you first login.
